Recording with OBS
Has anyone tried to record a play session with OBS? I wanted to play this for my youtube channel and haven't been able to get it to work.

I tried streaming it twice with OBS and couldn't get it to work. Asked a friend for help troubleshooting who's better with the streaming stuff. He looked it up and said apparently Dwarf Fortress isn't working with the various streaming apps right now.

This is true to majority of unmodified SDL games when it comes to Game Capture, but Window/Desktop Capture will work just fine.

I had tried window capture too and couldn't get it to work. Maybe that was before the patch and that fixed it? Or maybe something else went wrong.

Only thing I could really figure to do at the time was display capture, which I don't really want to do.

I stream it with OBS using window capture but, importantly: you have to be playing in windowed mode and not fullscreen for this to work.

I'm struggling with OBS + DF consuming WAY too much CPU and making some fortresses unplayable :(

Have you got any tips for tuning up OBS so it gets a little lighter for streaming DF? Here's my original post, along with more details:
