You can mass click-drag a bunch of stuff to be dumped or hidden, but that's of limited use inside a fortress.
You could try using Quantum Stockpiles to conserve space so you can actually have someplace to put all that stuff, especially stones laying all over the place. But, in my experience trying that out so far, it's a slow process to get a large amount hauled to it.
I'd say Quantum Stockpiles would probably help you out a lot if the issue is all the real inventory you would want to keep for sales.

It's an "exploit." But, since it enables a lot of play opportunity and makes players happy, I don't see it being patched out anytime soon.
I try not to produce much beyond what I need in the first place via work orders keeping like max 10 of something on hand and available, cept bolts cause bolts, mayor likes em, baron likes em, militia captains like em, bolts bolts bolts.
for the atom-setup i use a system of redundant stockpiles, low quality takes from output stocks, then once a year or so i smelt/dump everything which isnt good enough
For me , main drag on fps is animals , i keep a few dogs , yaks , cows , lately some water buffalos, those are grazing outside in confinement + pen.
i caged my pigs and cats for when i need em,
penned dogs are inside locked chamber to keep the pups from running out,
also i noticed closing off caves with wall block helped in mitigating some of the fpsloss, maybe caus they dont look for paths there now; i also dug out flats and put paving outside around the entrance of my fort, so there doesnt grow all kinds of clutter around my base, seemed to have improved a lot.
also did maintenance on muddy tiles , growth cycle on those tiles seems to take a few fps.
ive optimised canal, tried to minimize flowing water path and tilecount for my inner fort waterfall setup (permanent mist in the main hall),
forbade every far lying rock in my stripmining below, i just clear em group by group , which seems to work better for path-to-hauling large quantities.
gl. FPS in DF has always been a struggle :D
It's super easy, but does take some steps.
Make a 1x1 refuse stockpile nearby the bedrooms. Set it to any single item type that doesn't rot. You just want to prevent the dwarfs from hauling a corpse onto the pile.
Now make a 1x1 dump zone on the refuse stockpile.
If you have other dump zones, pause them now.
Check your standing orders > refuse and dumping > Workers save other objects, is enabled. If it's set to dump, they may haul rotting things into the dump zone.
Now use the dump tool and mass select all the cabinets. The dwarfs won't carry away furniture, just whats stored inside them.
After some time the dwarfs will lose ownership of the items and they can be hauled by others to the dump zone.
The clothing ends up on the refuse pile and rots away quickly. You could also smash it under a bridge.
Once it's setup you just need to enable the dump zone and mass select the cabinets for dumping.
Most everything else can be controlled by the menu's, my food stockpiles need my attention quite often to keep them balanced, and I liked the cabinet trick above, I'll be giving that a try.

I thought I read somewhere that magma deletes objects (or at least, ones that aren't magma-resistant) from the game, but maybe that's inaccurate..?
Either way, the children of my fortress LOVED to play on the bridge portion of my magma dumper, so an atom smasher feels... Like it could cause even more "fun".
I'm looking into automated junk atom smashing - you need at dump zone next to a chute and at the botton there's a drawbridge connected to a pressure plate somewhere people walk once in a while.
I used to limit migrant waves in classic for slower growth just to get some timeflow into the game, heh.
Otherwise every migrant wave was a few days of optimization of tasks and assignments with the time I had to play.
A dedicated tailor very quickly reaches the point where they keep churning out masterpiece items, though.
