Consistent pathing issues using ramps after 5-6 Z-levels down.
Using ramps in a spiral going down, after a few Z-levels further orders are ignored. Is this a known bug or limitation?

I use spiral ramps going down and I don't have this issue. I'll see how deep I can go with a spiral ramp later tonight.

Commenting to follow cause I didn't know if this was expected behavior or not. I ran into this building a funnel to channel a brook into a water reservoir for my wells. I ended up having to dig in access hallways from the side and then wall them off afterwards. Otherwise my haulers wouldn't take away the stone and miners would just not work on the next tile down. It seems they'll use maybe 1-2 z-levels of just 1-tile ramps, after that it gets wonky.

I'm using a square shape and alternating the halves, like two L's piecing together. Along with space mined out around them.

Ok, I've got no issues with depth, can go as deep as I want, but I think I know what you might have done. If you're going down levels with ramps, you gotta make sure the ramp keeps going the same way above and below, you can't make the ramp a switch back.

So think about this from west to east: If Z level 1 is to the west, z level 0 needs to be to the east of the ramp. You can't have both z level 1 and 0 both to the west or both to the east of the ramp square. if you do try to put both levels the same direction, your dwarves will ignore it because they can't actually take that ramp.

You have to put in a flat spot somewhere, otherwise they think it's over 1+ Z levels up on the turns. Just like in 7DTD. Dorfs and Zombies don't do 180's very well. At least in DF they don't start breaking the ramp in frustration.. usually..

I noticed the same bug.
The Miner mined the channels going down fine, then it got stuck after a few Z levels down.
Miner got stuck there on No Job (even though there are accessible mine orders).
I tried to order him to dig ramp up making alternative path, he digs it but doesn't unstuck from same Z level.
I tried to have a flat area on every Z level (mining wall) to help him unstuck to no avail.

It's really inconsistent since that miner actually digged channels further down and left those Z levels.
I tried to channel/ramp on same row as Teemo suggested but he doesn't go up either (although that explains him not getting stuck on his lower Z).

The bug seems related to corner ramps.
While a solo channel down connects to all surrounding blocks, corner ones don't even connect to the ones they should.
