Dwarf Fortress

hi Dec 13, 2022 @ 6:56am
Do hunting animals eat your kettle?
So lets say i have cows and chickens in a pen.
And then an elf trades me A Jaguar and a Bear
And i decide to add those to the same pen, or have them roam around

Do they kill my kettle?

Is "kettle" a word that means "livestock"? I ask because I don't know, not to mock.

If you bought them from elves, they are tame, and won't attack your other animals. Wild bears and such are a different story, of course.

Some animals might steal kettles, or more relevantly anvils or other items.

Your tame animals can be targetted and attacked by other wildlife on the map.
They can also fight amongst themselves...

That is probably "cattle". voice recognition and autocorrupt are not always your friends.

AHA, it appears I'm not the only clueless ESL student here!

interestingly, have you ever pictured a raven stealing your iron anvil? Seems unlikely, somehow... Maybe an African swallow?

We don't have no African or European swallows here. Only cave swallows and giant cave swallows. We also have cave swallow men.

Autocorrupt is the best word of 2022.
