Absolutely No Immigrants Issue
I have run three fortresses to the second year and never gotten any migrants past the first two scripted waves. I am settling close to my civilization and my fall caravans have been coming, I am not able to trade extravagantly on the first caravan but I generally let the traders leave with at least a thousand in profit. Happiness isn't amazing but I don't think it was bad enough to justify getting absolutely no migrants whatsoever. What is the secret to spreading awareness to other civilizations to move in, because I never had this problem in the old version of DF and I just got decimated by a zombie siege before I had the spare manpower to train up a proper military squad.

sometimes that can happen if its a very young world with high savagery, a couple times ive settled in a place with literally no other dwarves in existence

I think wealth has a role in the chances of getting migrants, I could be wrong though. I ended up not having any for a few seasons until I got more things done. I had a total wealth of ~5k, and no migrants came, but next season they came when I had ~6k.

Migrants are a direct result of your wealth and how many dwarves you have, I think, most of the time the first migrant wave is nearly guarenteed as the wealth req is low but after that it gets way higher.

And negative events affect immigration also. Lots of deaths will result in few immigrants until things improve for a while. Having a siege present will prevent immigration also.

It takes much more wealth than the free game. Lots. Start encrusting furniture with gems. Also make sure you have access to fresh water. I did those two things and finally they came.

Also It MAY need a successful trade or two with the trader. Make sure he gets off the map. If he does not, deco struct the trade depot.

It took me until year 3 to get a new wave.

This, you could try retiring the fort and checking Legends menu to see if any prominent dorf figures are even alive at this point. The civ might have been decimated.

Hey, I here again to say that after I dig around some more. It is that u gotto export goods or import.
I dont know which but what I did before more next migrent was I bought some plant and trade with mug.
Before that I gift and trade to my people but game said still no migrent. BUT after buy plant to new trader that not of my race (they still staying in my fortress) I finally got immgrant. 7 of them
I did try deconstruct trade depo but it didnt work

Same thing happened to me. My fort was super poor and got repeated zombie invasions starting in year 1. I got one migrant wave, and then they stopped coming till year five after things were more under control, so I think they'll show up eventually.

I assume many deaths in the fort, invasions and no wealth is offputting to migrants.

I think this version you need to build a drawbridge at the entrance immediately.

It used to be you wouldn't get invaded in the beginning so you had time to set stuff up. But this version I got invaded before even building the first a furnace with 0 military. Past versions I had like 20 military dwarves fully armed before any attacks.

The wiki did mention if u dead alot they wont come
problem for me is they came once and never come again. I was doing too good so didnt bought anything from trader til I found out I gotto buy something from them

Before you embark you have an option to pick what civ you belong to, my guess is you are apart of one that is almost extinct.

The amount of trade you've done and the amount of death that has happened at your fort are the two main levers for how many immigrants you get. You want the exported wealth to be very high and the death to be very low if you want to attract migrants.
