Overworld/Embark Map && 4K screens

There seem to be only two zoom levels. On the farthest out zoom I can't see anything to know what's going on, when I press [] or CTRM+Mouse Wheel to zoom in, it's too far.

I need a slightly more zoomed in map on the world map, like how it looks for 1920x1080 players on youtube. They have GREAT maps!

Mine is so tiny, it's line a map for dwarf ants. (sad pouty face)

I'm also a 4k gamer. My solution to the UI issues and blurry text has been to use Lossless Scaling (available on steam, though I think there are free alternatives), launch DF in the default windowed mode which will be tiny, then scale it up using the sharp bilinear setting in Lossless Scaling (scaling mode auto and aspect ratio) which forces the game to be fullscreen albeit not HD aspect ratio but whatever with MUCH sharper graphics.

If you need any help lmk, I don't know if I changed any random graphic setting when I was trying to get the game to not look like ♥♥♥♥. My game looks great now.

I play in window mode with the screen maxed and playing in game is fine, i have no issue, my only issue is the worldmap/embark screen.

I feel like it's pretty probable other UI stuff is messing up without it being apparent there seem to be a lot of issues with UI scaling

same issue. the world map prior to selecting "embark" is tiny. clicking to zoom is fine but the world map is illegible.

edit this is on a 4k screen. game set to 2160p with scaling.
