Am I suppose to be given a list of stuff he wants to use? Cause he ain't telling me anything. He is just standing around doing nothing. He hasn't claimed a workshop, nothing. Am I missing something?

He will claim a workshop for a job he's assigned to do, or whatever his profession is, and if neither; then he might claim a random workshop you don't have.

Build some industries you might be missing just to be sure.

If he hasn't claimed a workshop yet he's probably missing the type of workshop he wants.

Check what his highest labor skills are and try building the matching workshop for that skill.

Aye aye. That is most certianly the missing piece. I'll give a few new workshops a try.

Once you have the right workshop, IIRC, you'll want to look at it and the dorf will be saying things like "I NEED BONES" or something. They can ask for all sorts of nonsense. If you HAVE what he needs, but he doesn't seem to notice, you can force a stockpile to give to his workshop and that usually does the trick.
