the fact that was removed is pretty depressing, i get that the game is complex and its not that simple
but "♥♥♥♥ it animals can open doors now" is such a horrid solution
I dont get this. Why placing doors is a thing, when wild animals can just walk into your fort without any problems? That doesnt make the slightest of sense...
Drawbridge for an entrance. When you need to get in and out? Open it, otherwise leave it closed and it will no longer be considered a valid path.
Edit: flood gates work as well.
Yes, but dwarves will be not able to enter as well. There seems to be no way to block it for anyone else but your own dwarves.
Thanks, will try that. I dont build a drawbridge yet, is it possible early game? Will try floodgates as well, thanks!
Yes it is! :D Fortunately wild animals ignore and/or avoid floodgates, so if you use floodgates instead they seem to ignore it even if the floodgates are open.
But this makes even less sense: If the reason why they can use doors is that they would cause fps problems with the pathfinding, why then floodgates works without any problems? They have to check the path to the floodgates as well...?
Really dont get this
