animal (x hammer) - symbol
what does this symbol mean which flies over the heads of tamed animals?

I am also keen to figure this out. The only thought my animals have in common is a dislike for being caught in the rain, but they've expressed this while underground in a place with zero weather whatsoever

The status icons flashing over their heads shows their mood. You can see what they are thinking in the thoughts and over view screens. my animals have a hammer when they are Grouchy.

If that's the only thing it indicates, that they are generally a bit upset, that's a very bad icon choice.

She was not afraid, was not fazed by the attack, so it's okay
