How to build a hive?
So I played this game long before it was released on steam and now it has hives for honeybees. To buil a hive you need to create it in a workshop. However I don't have such an option in any workshops and honeybees living near my fortress sting dwarfs. Help!

Hives can be build in the craftworkshop. Inside the workshop select the material(rock, wood etc) then a list that contains hives should show up. Won't stop your dwarfs from being stung though

The option is not currently present in the workshops though. It’s supposed to be, but it’s not present for me either.

You should be able to assign a manager in the nobles screen and designate them a study in zones. You should then be able to commission hives using the work orders screen.

Hives are built in the Craftsworkshop under specific materials (stone, wood, shell, etc)
Just remember that hives can only be filled if there are bee colonys on the map for the dwarves to steal from, and in addition to that, if you have jugs, make sure the dwarves dont instakill the hive by taking the honey.
