Yeah I have a large stockpile with a lot of room that accepts all but food, and all the items in the trade depot are not food.
It is a huge variety of items. Bags, fabrics, weapons, armor, gems... all things that get stored fine normally in the stockpile
Yeah I just realized that it is the entire contents of what the merchant was selling that is in there. I wonder if my dwarves actually took the stuff I bought back to the fortress or if the stuff I bought is in there as well.
It may also be the contents of every merchant that has visited me ever.
Pretty big bug.
I deconstruct the depot regularly to release the stuff and build a new one next to it.
