How do I stop the kitchen from using certain items,

you can suppress the cooking of certain items, but i have no idea how to do that in this version, any help?

Under Labors, Kitchen should be an option.

There's probably a better way, but one that leaps to mind is to set up a stockpile with Custom settings, put all the items you don't want cooked in there, then force the kitchen to take from another food stockpile.
