Dwarf Fortress

Zooming in on world map
Hi all,

Once in game and you open the map, is there anyway to zoom in?

As far as I know.. no. Most on here seem to be saying to use Ctrl+mouse wheel but that only zooms in once your playing at your settlement. I have a 2560x1600 laptop and found that the lower you set your fullscreen resolution, the larger the tiles will be. I have mine set to 1920x1600.

If you make any changes to the resolution, restart the game or they won't take effect properly.

This will make the world map icons a little bigger (castles, towers, pits, etc.). If you click on a world map space it does 'zoom in' to select the embark location but the icons disappear and tiles are still pretty small at high resolutions.

Also I had to right click the dwarf fortress .exe and go to properties - compatibility then at the bottom there is a disable windows dpi scaling option. I disabled it and set it to the application. I'm on mobile, so typing is a hassle, but hopefully this helps you out.

Oh, make sure to disable grid scaling in the video settings. Any other resolution issues there are a few posts that will help but the FAQ under the events posts should help as well.
