Switch between zoom and layers with mouse wheel

It would feel more natural to me to switch zoom to mouse scroll, and change the default CTRL+Mouse wheel to change layers.. I'm wondering if this is possible because I didn't see a way to change it in the settings.

I see the setting for "zoom" but this really isn't zoom it's the layer change, and I don't see the actual zoom setting but I could be blind.

Yes that's how I have it set now. Layer change with wheel is too weird.

Under keybinds remove mouse 4 and mouse 5 from the Move view up/down actions, and add them to zoom. Which is by default binded to '[' and ']'

It is possible, I also found this way more intuitive. Currently the game doesn't show modifiers with mouse binds. So, a combination of Ctrl+Mouse 4 will still be shown as Mouse 4.
Anyway, to change this, you should go to General tab in Keybindings. I recommend deleting Mouse 4 and Mouse 5 and then re-adding them.
Then, scroll down until you find Move/view cursor up - that's the bind for changing z-level. Be aware that there's also a separate bind for changing z-level 10 times, so you might need to experiment to make sure you assigned the correct one

Oh wow that's perfect thank you. The move view cursor up was overlooked but then I noticed now it says (z) as in Z level. Never would've guessed.
