Any way to view/exanime/[l]ook at a tile? (Keybind in classic being k)

I've been wanting to check the temperature in the surroundings, be able to examine something in detail, like in old DF.
I know you can mouse over something, but most of the time you can't click it or look at it.

There is no K equivalent now, the mouse gives you all the info you'll get, as far as I can tell.

If you click on it there is a little spyglass in the menu and from there you can get the view info. statues and carving stuff is all there.

anyone found how to see whats in a workshop/building like the old "t" way of looking? trying to see the metal bars fresh out of the smelter

Click on the workshop, items inside of it are at the bottom of the GUI

sadly I can't post a picture, but if you click on the creature/tool/statue, maybe spyglass was the confusing part, there is a magnifying glass symbol that contains the view info as a button.

it should have it below the queue of what you are building with the material that you used to build the workshop.

oh yep there it is. I had changed the interface scaling to make it bigger and easier to read but all of that info got cut off.
