no clue what this means, are you asking how to make a room 2 tiles/levels high?

You can channel through the floor in the mining menu. This removes the floor and creates a ramp beneath if there is still material there. A thing to note when channeling is that if the floor is unsupported, you can cause a cave in which results in lots of FUN! So work from the edges and leave a path for your miners.

so in the original DF, you have 2 layers on a block, the block, and the floor that block sits on, when you mine, you mine the block and leave the floor, you can go down a level and mine the block at the same spot above it and that floor layer still remains. I was wondering how in the steam version do i remove that "middle" layer floor

you use the channel option.
preferably from floor above but can still be done from below via ramps i think, otherwise they can dig above if the channeling operation is done above a floor.

If you want to make a multi-level room safely, start from the very top and channel your way downwards one layer at a time.
Otherwise you risk cave-ins unless you babysit your miners.

If you already have a room and want to make it higher, channel from above from the interior outwards. Again, you'll have to baby your dwarves while doing this otherwise you greatly risk caveins.

Okay, so the ramps are actually a "hole" straight down but with.... ramps? For the dwarfs to climb on? What if I want a badass walkway or bridge with nothing but magma or darkness beneath?? Like just clear the tile and no ramp/channel no nothing
