Rotate furniture before placing?
Can you do this?

There is no need. All furniture is 1 tile, and there is no such thing as facing when it comes to furniture. When you see a cabinet turned south its just illustrative, it could be accessed from any side.

But it would still be a nice feature aesthetically

If you could rotate a statue 90 degrees, it would look like it's lying on the ground. That would look weird.

Some of the old visualizers used to rotate displayed furniture based on the context (e.g. a chair next to a table would face the table, bed next to a wall would face away from the wall etc). They could probably add a feature like this at some point. But in game mechanical terms furniture doesn't have a particular facing so rotation is not a thing.

Sadly no, but currently chairs don't have backs to lean into anyways so.

Sounds like a mod job if you ask me

Yeah it was hard for me to understand xd. The wood craftstation looks like it's only accessible from the right and the top

To be fair, in the previous versions workshops [Not furniture] could only be accessed from certain directions, I'd suggest having the space immediately around it clear, but I don't actually know for a fact if workshops can block eachother currently.

I would really like it for doors. It looks weird to have double doors vertically.
