Where is combat report?

In ASCII DF, you could press 'r' to open a combat report. In Steam Edition, 'r' is not mapped to combat report log. How do I open combat report?

There's a combat log that pops up as an announcement that I can open by left-clicking it. However, if I dismiss it by right-clicking it, then I don't know how to open the combat log..

Left side of the screen at the notification button, if there' a combat you can click on participants and see the log.

Can you re open the log if you closed it, or open it from somewhere else?

Same question. Where is the combat log and why can't I view reports after I clear an alert? My mind is exploding trying to figure this out. This is crucial to the game and understanding what's going on in my colony. The recent alert isn't enough.

why would they remove these dedicated screens like the military screen, report screen, and announcement screen
as if people don't want to be able to find old logs again? what the fack?

There needs to be a way to view the combat report, even after dismissing it, right freakin now!

This is such a massive oversight, reading the logs is a large part of the game. Hope this gets added back.

Yeah, i don't think anybody ever sat down and had a problem with being able to look up logs.

They just HAVE to add it back. Maybe it got delayed by the time window they had to launch and will come back in a future update. I also can't find the description of the Gods anywhere in Fortress Mode. :(

Also fix the search routine, in 47.05 you can type "wood door" "door wood" "ood oor" and get wooden doors; in steam df you can only type the exact string "WOODEN DOOR" and it's the pits.

Finally found the combat logs. Click (dont hover) on the Sword sign. Select the combat from the list using the magnifying glass icon.

And so we cannot open the combat log at any time, but only once. Why is there no hotkey to call the full log?
