How to Healthcare?
Today during my first start a dwarf got a leg exploded by a falling tree.
He got knocked out, so I tried to make someone save him.
I set someone as Head Medic and tried to create an "Hospital" but I dont know why even setting the medic job as "All Healthcare Tasks", he simply continued to ignore the dissanguating poor dwarf on the ground.

The question so is simple, how can I save a wounded dwarf? What are the required step to "activate healthcare"?

You create a hospital from a bedroom dormitory area, click on the area and then on the shield+ icon.

Assign a healthcare dwarf, create a zone and mark it as hospital. A hospital zone will need to have some traction benches, beds, tables, and thread within its zone.

That's when the hospital dwarf will start working.

Check the dwarf fortress wiki hospital page for more details on what specific items are needed in the hospital zone for it to start functioning.

Assuming it hasnt changed since the last update
https://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2014:Health_care
this should help a bunch.

As for the dorf being ignored, you should check the medics tasks and see what all hes set to do. The dwarves are pretty dumb when it comes to basic things P: Like choosing between making a masterwork mug or flipping a lever to stop an invading army from entering the fortress.
If they have too many things that theyre allowed to do, they will be more unlikely to do what you need them to do. Slim it down so that they can get to it faster.. Assuming they dont take a nap and have some crumpets and booze first.

Hmm... ok, next question: how can i place bins in the hospital?
the hotkeys from the wiki are not working

Just create a stockpile in the hospital and confirm you have a surplus of crafted bins. The dwarves will take care of the details

Since hotkeys have been completely changed with the UI update, the wiki is outdated on those. I have not checked that yet, but you'll probably find it in the building menu where you build walls, chairs and other such things.

Can't celebrate with ale after beating the invaders if you don't have a masterwork mug.
