There are a lot of bigger publishers that do less, but Kit Fox has a great record of working with indies.
Personally I have not seen any marketing either other than a couple of let's plays before release. It was up to the developers, but I would have just put it on steam myself :P. I have dealt with Steam on the developer side and it's not that hard.
It's 20% of money that Tarn never would have seen without them. It's more than worth it.
