What is the best current let's play dwarf fortress on youtube?
Just curious every story i read about this game sounds so amazing , it has like endless amount of random legendary things that happen and some of the most random world events..but i would actually LOVE to see one of these things in action, any videos recommended that are just like WOW dwarf fortress is incredible type of videos? (besides that one amazing review i recently saw for DF)

Kruggsmashs' LPs are great for it.

Honeystoker is a good one as posted above but probably the best to start with is Monsterkiller as it is standalone fort (but a long one), without having to have prior videos on Mosus Saga (Waterkeeper / Darkmine / Honeystoker videos that are all related to one another, as they all are set in the same "world" )

DasTactic's Let's Plays are my favourite.

Also he has an extended tutorial series.

current, probably the Kruggsmashs.

On the older hand i like the videos from Quill18, Gerugon (German) and DasTactic.

Another vote for Kruggsmash here. Loved his videos. Quill18 is nice also.

As for Kruggsmash, I'd prefer he just play instead of all of the art and that in it. I can see why plenty would like it, but it ain't for me.

I personally enjoy quill18's videos. However, he doesn't always focus on Dwarf Fortress...generally he does various strategy and simulation videos, but does do Dwarf Fortress semi-regularly.

These get my vote as well. The tutorial from a few years back is how I ended up finally getting an actual start in the game. Bounced off it a couple times prior to that.

Joel is the reason why I started to play the game.
I know dwarf fortress long time before that but when I started, I got confused
by the ASCII and kind of give up quickly.

Watching his streams made me used to ASCII and this is now
pretty natural to me. I started to play after the first stream I watched...
but even then, I was still watching the other one when playing myself
(well... that was more listening at that point :p)

He is the kind of guy that talk a lot of everything and I have
a lot of fun watching/listening his streams.
But he is bad to dwarf fortress.
I mean... he is far from being the best... so many things he is
doing/thinking is wrong... but this is still fun. At least for me.
I learned the VERY basic stuff (and get used to ASCII) with him...
and for everything else, the wiki was there.
