Its a good game, but it aint worth the price.
i would i say its worth 50% of what its currently priced.

there isnt much content and it feels like they are using fake difficulty to drag game time.
it feels like they specifically have low heal to drag the gameplay, if u got "full lotus" the game is easy as all hell, the bosses are fairly easy aswell, but the healing thing feels like a specific tactic to inflate gametime.

Compared to other games of this genere there is no variation to boses or elites, so it dosent take long to learn patterns.

TLDR; game good, not worth the price.

P.S if you are looking for a spell crafting rogue-like, give magicraft a try, its WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY more open and u can get way funner builds.

i know this game is only on early access but its too short to enjoy your build in run, pls give us endless run or after defeating the final boss we may return to start not in town.

TLDR this game is good and the potential of experimenting on elemental memories is awesome.

The game feels rough. The rapidfire spells are very busted, letting you kill stuff safely with knockback that has them off the screen entirely while you just stand still holding one button down. Every other spell is pretty meh, and if you don't get lucky with the spell mods, the time to clear a room stretches into forever because enemy health and numbers will outscale way ahead of you. That and you have two spell slots, but you rarely feel like you want to use the second spell because there's no moment to moment resource management like in, say, Hades or Cinderia.

What really sucks is that the spell mods are just not well designed. They'll work fine on the spammy rapidfire spells, but everything else is "good luck". My last run, I had two mods on my boomerang spell, one for +2 bounces, and another that gave +1 bounce and added homing. That sounds like it'd be awesome for aoe, right? Toss it into a big group of enemies... and more than half the time, the boomerang is going to bounce right off the enemy and completely whiff. And since a boomerang does damage coming back, you're going from 2 hits to 1. And since it's whiffing into an empty direction, it's slower too. Meanwhile, toss those mods onto the rapidfire spells and the enemies just melt.

The charge up spells are even worse, because if you aren't stunlocking enemies, you rarely have time to stand around and charge up a spell for 2 seconds, and lots of the mods just straight up barely work. So many of the mods have a trigger of "when you hit" or "when you cast". Their power is the same regardless of if you can cast a spell once ever 5 seconds or 10 times per second. You'd think they'd balance this out with mods that favor slower spells, but I've yet to see any so far.

It's still early access though and just came out, so hopefully these issues can be fixed, but for now I'd wait.

A lot of negative reviews for this are the classic "I'm not good at the game = game is bad" or "I don't understand what early access is"

My only complaint is that it's a little too easy for how short it is, I wish I could go beyond the 3rd boss already and see where I can push spells further but that is expected with early access. The spell system is awesome and unique, It doesn't take much to get something satisfying and cool online, especially if you focus on meta currency during your runs, similar to most roguelikes.

Still having fun running through and unlocking things while clearing everything but I'll probably stop soon since boss 3 (final boss) is on farm after 6 hours.

it is a really good, the visual are great, gameplay is great, mob design are great, spell customization is great, the ambiance is great yes it challenging it is meant to be its a roguelike i really enjoy it and you will too!

Super fun spell building mechanics. Excited to get some endgame progression.

Listening to players and giving the game a much needed balance patch (nerfs) earned my thumbs up. The idea of the game is great, the mechanics are all there, but it felt a lot like one of those rage games like getting over it. Hopefully soon we can enjoy some fun casual spell crafting and the game will pop off!

I don't think I've ever felt this disappointed and conflicted about a game.

On the one hand, the universe, the spell-building system, and the art design are excellent. On the other hand, the game itself is incredibly frustrating.

The difficulty feels poorly balanced, and the game is extremely punishing. Healing is scarce, and sometimes the spells you're offered simply don't allow you to put together a decent run. This is a roguelike where you're supposed to gradually improve, but when you have to do two runs just to unlock a Lotus item in the hope of making the next one slightly more manageable, progression quickly starts to feel painfully slow—especially when those runs are awful.

I almost never leave reviews, but I'm making an exception here because I genuinely hope the game improves. The core ideas are really good, and there's clearly a lot of potential here. The problem isn't the foundation—it's the way the progression and difficulty are currently designed around it. I would really like to see the game evolve into something that does justice to its excellent core concepts.

So, I'm going to stop playing for now. I might come back if the progression and difficulty systems get reworked, because in its current state, the only thing I've gotten out of the game is frustration. I haven't had any fun with it.

Great art design, cool idea for ability crafting but the bosses/mini bosses are insanely over tuned. They spam giant aoe's while spawning non-stop ad's ON TOP of having turrets or some form of traps all over the arena. One of the most annoying rogue-likes ive ever played.

Technically this could be a very fun game since the spell building mechanic leaves a lot of room for build variety but all 4 of the base spells feel so terrible that its not fun to build upon them.
