HELP - How to use cards
Hi All - New to this game.
Have been playing Gwent and Thronebreaker, but no idea how to use the cards as sets.
I know how cards work by what they say, but no idea what cards work together to give the bonuses and to get shields etc. I know the cards that will give a boost to another card when played, but not how to boost more etc.
When first playing Thronebreaker at the beginning the guide shows how you put certain types of cards on the same line and that will boost the other cards or that card. But
Cannot find any advice on the internet. anyone with a link etc.

In your camp, you can find the Training Grounds - here you can practice playing against yourself. Watch how the enemy plays against you using your own set of cards. This should be a good example of how you should pair cards together.

Read the cards and rules carefully. Cards with Zeal can be used as soon as they are played. Cards with Order can be played whenever you want (if it doesn't have Zeal, you can only play it the next turn) as long as they have a blue counter. Click on cards with blue counters to use them. Decide what strategy you want to deploy: damage the enemy's score or boosting your own. If you want to cause as much damage as possible, keep primarily offensive cards in your deck. If you want to boost your own score, keep support and defensive cards.

Cards with Deploy have to be used as soon as you play them (Lyrian Arbalist for example). Use Lyrian arbalist after playing Infantry (3-4 cards on deploy) or pikemen (recruit 5 units and keep in deck because deploying 1 pikeman recruits all 5 units on the row) on one row to boost damage.

Learn what cards work together in synergy. Playing 5 Rivian pikemen on 1 row and placing Lyrian arbalist on the same row means you can deal 6 damage (5 + 1) because Lyrian arbalist deals damage equal to the number of cards on the same row including itself.

Always upgrade your camp ASAP when you can afford it because it makes your cards more powerful.

Try to keep morale green unless you get a card fragment or need gold/wood. Low morale = weaker cards.

You will find with trial and error which cards work with which and learn how to optimise your deck.
