GOG to Steam save file
hey, this may have been asked before sry :(
so i would like to buy this game again on steam. does anyone know if it's possible to continue my GOG save file on Steam?

sma ehere, bought it rfom official witcher site as a preorder which was available only on gog, so i thought it would be only a gog game. now i am devestated as i wish to have it on stem and delete my gog because i use it only for that game... i am even ok to pay twice but of corse would prefer not too. but i really want tosafe my records.

Save file is in C:\Users\[YOUR WINDOZE USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\CDProjektRED\Thronebreaker\ for windows users. You can even download your save file directly from GOG in the backups and goodies area.

My guess is it's the same location for the steam version so you should be able to keep playing, failing that it's a simple copy paste to the steam save directory.

yes it is, the save files are essentially the same, stored in your in your C>User>AppData directory. When I loaded the steam version, I had all my saves from GOG here too. Works all the same.
