Unwinnable Puzzle Bug?

I'm currently stuck on the puzzle where you have to reduce the necrophage's health to 0. Its very early in the game.

I'm not stuck because I can't figure it out, I'm stuck because the cards in my deck keep changing. I can view the remaining cards in my deck at the start of the match, but they change depending on what round I view them in, and when I try to use that old fat dude to summon copies of cards from my deck, literally nothing happens. No matter who I play him next to. Most recently after I failed again, I hit 'pass' to lose the match and restart, and it just hung there. No prompt, no way to click anything. Had to back out of the battle with escape, and quit the game in frustration.

is this ♥♥♥♥ going to be happening the whole game? I'm like an hour in and already having these problems. Puzzles in particular cant afford to have their ♥♥♥♥ break, because there usually isn't a workaround, or a different method you can try. There is one solution. And its broken :<

TLDR: Just do not look in the deck to avoid the bug
