Is this game BADLY optimized ?
No matter the game settings, I always have sudden 25%-50% random frame rate drops when playing gwent (not when going around the map).

Not mentioning the fact that my specs ar far above recommended.

Is this just some bad optimization or pure magic ?

That's difficult to say, since some people are more sensitive to some graphical issues than others. I have a GTX 880M and everything looks fine at 1920x1080@60Hz, with everything maxed except for anti-aliasing which I usually disable (I consider additional power consumption/heating is generally not worth it).

I'm heaving a GTX 1080 and an i7 7700k and I get mild stutter/framedrops sometimes when it's my opponent's turn when there is a lot going on in the duel.
I think the problem lays in game rather than you guys equipment. you can always set lower graphics.

I can play on 4k or 720p but I still get drops for absolutely no reason.

recommended system requirements don't mean anything in this day and age of gaming. It's so open to interpretation and there is NO OFFICIAL definition of what recommended specs are. recommended specs could be for one developer: ''the hardware needed to run the game at 30fps on medium'' and for another could be "60fps on ultra" and you wouldn't even know.

I've looked at the recommended specs and they are seriously ''toaster PC'' level specs. What are your specific pc specs anyway? On my rig I get 260+ fps constant in this game maxed out at 1440p with no drops....no joking! some parts of the game even hit as high as 400fps!! so there must be something seriously wrong with your rig.

I had no problem before the update, but after the update the first game I played had framerate drops during enemy turn and graphic artifacts.

Gtx 1080ti, 32gb ram, i7..I have no problems running games like Witcher on max settings, so I dont think it is provlem with my setup.

Moreover I found out that I am not alone with this problem on several internet forums. So I guess waiting for some patch is the solution for me.

Haha, that's something I tend to avoid saying because 1) it can be more complicated than that and 2) while it can very well be true, especially considering how many self-proclaimed computer experts there are, many people are very touchy and feel easily offended by this, male people in particular (the "car = p*nis" analogy easily extends to computers)
