No ambient sounds

Decided to replay SGWC after just finishing another SE4 playthrough and even though I never encountered many, if any, bugs on my first playthrough I just had all ambient sound cut out.

I was doing the first mission and got into the compound where the downloadable data is and snuck my way in to interrogate the officer for one of the challenges. I was waiting in the grass behind him for him to get into cover and turn around so I could interrogate him and, maybe because I'm on Deadeye, he immediately turned around and I lost the chance.

So I reloaded the last checkpoint at which point all ambient sounds cut out. Footsteps and voice lines still played but all the wind and water ambience just ceased to exist and I can't seem to find any fix that actually works. Anyone know if there is a way of fixing it?

*Edit*: After restarting the game, the sound was fixed but now hacking CCTV boxes is broken. I do the animation with whatever-device, the screen goes black as if it's loading into the camera but then it shows my character in 3rd person, everything is dark except for any light sources from computers etc., then it loads into the camera. Except the image is upside down (it shows the moon on the bottom, mountains on top of the image) and isn't even an actual view from the cameras. When I go through each camera it's as if the cameras have spawned in underground and none of the terrain has loaded in.

So much for never experiencing bugs.

You can also use an EMP round to disable all the cameras and bypass the camera bug.

Yeah but it was a new game with zero everything so I didn't have access to them. Plus it was about getting all the enemies tagged.

Sorry to hear that, but honestly as wonderful as it is, this game has some nasty bugs, even now.

Sounds like the game may have a corrupted file. If you are playing the PS4 version, have you tried rebuilding the PS4’s database?* I am assuming you have already tried deleting the game and redownloading it.

*Plenty of YouTube vids about how to do this.

Nope PC version. Since that first level I've not actually had any issues.

This kind of problems happens after reloading a checkpoint generally. And it is unresovable if you don't quit and restart the game. Sometimes reloading checkpoint causes a grayed out UI(one can't reload any checkpoint, best of my knowledge).
