2. You are definitely looking inside a wrong directory.
C >> program files(86) >> Steam >> userdata >> 973580.
well I got news for you... here is a screenshot of the directory you mention...
https://ibb.co/r23by3J
as you can see the directory you referred to is not there... although the game is installed on the C: drive.
as shown here:
https://ibb.co/cTqrzqF
it is not I, that complicates things...
Replaying the mission did not show the bounty anymore on the map. If they went through such lengths to make user savegames impossible (unlike ARMA 3), then maybe the bounty countdown and disappearance should have been emphasized a bit deeper in the tutorial mission.
This is also the first game that hides its savegames that damn well. Duskers and No Man's Sky also do not allow savegame by the user, but at least there, I can winzip the necessary files after my playthrough, and they can be found.
What is inside that folder? Can you see the App number there?
Okay. This is how the bounty system works,
1. One of the bounties triggers randomly depending on your approach towards a bounty area.
2. If approaching one bounty area does not trigger the bounty to appear then that means the other bounty will appear this time. Going towards the other bounty area triggers it.
3. If one bounty fails, then it won't appear again in that particular session.
The bounties will appear endlessly, cuz its a collectible.
So, if you don't see the bounty you've targeted to collect then go to the other bounty area. It will trigger.
Let me know if you have what you were looking for.
That folder is from an other game and is unrelated: see screenshot above.
Thank you I will try that. The game itself is excellent, glad I got it.
This is the screenshot of the same folder,

Gordon, If your not playing this game on multiple computers, you should probably disable cloud saves.
This should ensure that you can find the save games at a consistence location.
If you have Winzip, you can create a backup job to backup your savegame files to a folder with date stamps appended so you maintain a history. Save the backup job to a convenient location, (preferably to a separate drive or storage location.)
Create a shortcut to the backup job file and you can Alt-TAB out of the game, (after a checkpoint is created), and double-click the shortcut.
dug one directory deeper and behold, there it was...
Found the savegames:
Thank you. I can now backup in zip.
Yes, I did that already in order to see if the savegames would be saved locally, but the folder mentioned above ( C:\Users\Admin\Saved Games\Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts ) remained empty after setting Steam in Offline mode and unplugging the cable - which I found to be very weird.
For those who have the same issue as me... here goes:
So, in short my savegame folder is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\67005729\973580\remote\SaveGames
I misinterpreted the number '67005729' for another ID from steam. it is not - probably every steam user has a different number. In that folder you can find the ID: 973580 which is the ID connected/coupled to this game in Steam.
When you right click on the game shortcut in your library and select properties>updates you will find this ID for every game in your library. For SGWC this is 973580.
Now you can all make a backup of your games for whatever reasaon required. Thank you doomedSniper and deees for your help in solving the issue.
Gordon,
Offline isn't the same as disabling cloud saves.
But as long as you can find your savegames in either location, you should be good?
