Framerate all over the place on a good PC

Hi everyone,

So I bought the game, hoping it wouldn't stutter like hell like SGW 3. I don't know if it's because of the Cry Engine or the Easy Anti Cheat, which is useless by now since noboby plays the multiplayer.

I've looked everywhere and got no satisfying answers.

The game goes between 90-100 fps and goes down to 40-ish when looking at more open areas. The first level after the tutorial with the snow doesn't help either and sometimes aiming with the scope is tedious.

I run the game at very high settings with particles on medium and shadows on high, with v-sync enabled. And the game is installed on a PNY NVMe SSD.

I have a Sapphire rx 6700 xt, a 5-5600x and 16 gb of ram so I expected to run to this without issues, no such problems with games like Sniper Elite 4, Far Cry 5 or even RDR2.

It's an unplayable mess, lowering the graphics didn't help.
I was about to kill my target but it goes to 20 fps when aiming.
And AMD users had similar issues since january. Well, I guess I'll just get a refund then.

It's an incompatibility(AMD cards). You have way better specs.
You'll feel certain stuttering for specific scenes and checkpoints(it is applicable for all types of customs).
This was the issue with Crysis 3(it exists even today). So, it's the cryengine and AMD incompatibility. Have zero clue what causes this. No settings change helps, as per community members' info.

You can try these things(guess you've tried this already).
1. enable anti-lag.
2. Disable chill and set the power to a maximum value.
3. Tweaker Vsync.
4. You can turn on the boost.
I know this won't do any good, but let me know anyway.

I'm waiting for the refund now, sorry. But I can confirm I have the exact same issues with Crysis 2 aswell... A decade old game

the game is sadly not very good optimised, im running Ryz 9 5950x with a 3090 and every fifth step or so i get a frame drop it feels like i have a limp leg or something. standing on a cliff and looking at a whole komplex with max Settings i get 200~FPS but inside some buildings even with lowest settings i barely get 30. i can only say that you're not alone and it's most likely not a Problem of your system.

I have zero issues with Contracts 2 (smooth as butter and bug free) but major issues with Contracts 1 with very poor FPS. I have AMD 5800 CPU and AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT.

same problem sadly... I´ve got an Ryzen 5 3600 RT 6700 XT 12 GB VRAM 16 GB RAM And also with Contracts 2 the performance do better, very sad there is no solution for that problem

This fixed it for me and with all other cryengine games. The workround I found was to download Msi AfterBurner and install RivaTuner. You have just to open RivaTuner, where you see "global", click "add" and add the game you want, for example "crysis3.exe". Then you go to framerate limit and set a high number (mine I set 367). Make sure you launch the game from that specific shortcut. RivaTuner must be the latest version (7.3+) for it to work.

I tried it with Contracts 1 and it´s still the same fps issue, scoped in between 40-80 fps. without scope between 15-30 not higher than that and full of lags.

I´ve installed MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner, I set it once in 144 fps limit, because I have an 144hz monitor no change and I also no changes with 367 fps limit.

What do you mean with: "Make sure you launch the game from that specific shortcut?
Well I added the game via the "add" button changed fps limit, where I have to do a specific shortcut? I see no button to do this. And I have RivaTuner 7.3.2 Beta 2 latest download from the official website

Sorry I wasn't clear, I mean navigate to the game .exe that you added in rivatuner and launch the game directly from that. For some reason the fix didn't work for me when I launched the game from my desktop shortcut.
