I remember playing games in 80' and 90' when there weren't any tutorials, guides and the game's loading time was 5 min or longer. And I didn't complain about it.
Now you have every possible information available and still there are a lot of people complaining.
What's wrong with you ppl?
But we have movede further on in gaming and can and should expect more.
And i agree what i have tryed of the game so far the aiming is to difficult and unpredictable.
Gives us a little dot that shows us where the bullet lands just like in the previous games.
Now being bored by Terminator Resistance. lol.
Then what's the point of the ballistics? And how can you say it's "unpredictable" when the game literally shows you the bullet arc?
Assuming your scope is zero'd at 000, you'll see that the 1st orange distance line is 100m. If your target is 100m out, put that line on them, and watch for the white line. Adjust aim left/right so that the target is in the crosshair created by the 100m distance line and the white wind line.
Hope that helps.
You don't put the center crosshair on the head, you put the white dot on their head where it meets the distance. If you range properly, you can use where the wind dot meets the x-axis line and almost always hit. Sometimes with extreme shots the lack of fine tuning range (300 goes straight to 400 instead of 325 or 350) can cause you to have to wing it a bit, but it's not that bad.
I almost never have to adjust for distance at anywhere south of 75 meters. Only at about 100 does wind actually become an issue. After a while snap shots become second nature and you start being able to "quickscope" without holding breath at close range.
Standard deviation for a 10 mph wind at 100 meters is about an inch off sights. That lines up within reason with the scope on screen. I don't think it's unrealistic to have to adjust for wind at close range, considering how little you need to adjust.
I love this game....can't wait for contracts 2 to come out...It took me a while to aim just right at first but once you get it wow bad guys don't stand a chance....you need to practice in the tutorial over and over and you will get it....In the tutorial they don't shoot back...LOL...Key is to aim with the dotted drip....sometimes at the top of the drip sometimes a little bit down the drip ....PRACTICE.....Good Luck
I miss a lot an option for aiming like in sniper ghost warrior 3
A very poor tutorial.
I'm new to sniper games, but got this after some trial and error.
1—use Q & E keys to get the distance setting as close to the target distance as possible.
2—use the curving dropping white dotted line to aim with. That's your wind compensation line, so you must have it on your target. The top of it where it comes out of the X axis will do if step 1 distances are a close match, otherwise move a small bit up or down off the X-axis—but keep the white dotted line on the target, that's key.
