Other solutions could be that I have to buy equipment for each contract mission. Maybe special challenge missions where I have to equip myself with special gear and in case of failure or mission abort the money and equipment would be lost. Could be very hard missions with no save, for example.
Even thought the amount of money would be rising. I mean, the devs give us all these fun weapons to play with and replay the missions, so what to do? Diminishing returns I think could be a solution, i.e. each repeated time a contract is fullfilled, it gives less money: 50%, 25%, 15% and so on. Other games already do it like that.
