Getting Elena to "Ecstatic"?
How, simply how? I've tried finding her favorite food, but no dice. Her level stays balanced between going to the museum and getting fed Plain / Healthy food each day, but her mood can't break through into the "Ecstatic" range. Not sure what I'm missing here, but any help offered from those who have achieved this would be greatly appreciated. 😄

I think I got her to be ecstatic by sheer luck - I kept Gustav on board, and somehow him playing the fiddle & feeding a food she liked did the trick

To piggyback off this question, to be "ecstatic", does the dot have to be in the final square or is just getting past the green face into the final line enough? (Just wondering because of the "get all spirits to ecstatic achievement)

Getting past the green face and into the final line is enough. Also you can check if they're ecstatic by checking their mood - a spirit should do something special compared to when they're only happy (not ecstatic)

Keep Gustav on your boat and make him happy

Thanks for the info.

Thank you so much! I guess it's time for 2nd playthrough. *sigh*

Somewhat frustrating that you spend so much time working to get everyone to ecstatic only for them to make the last one near impossible unless you intentionally keep people behind and don't improve her house before she tells you.

Kinda makes me sour right at the end of the game.

Omg Izy, I know!! Exactly my frustration this morning! I even said to myself, "Maybe the Green Salad will push her over the threshold?" Nope! She needs the freakin' fiddle! You're totally right, it was a smack in the face to work on getting 10 characters up just to have it impossible to work around on #11. 😔

I'm in the exact same boat (no pun intended). She and Buck were the last two I brought on so I'm stuck. And I even made sure everyone else got to ecstatic before they left!

ez. i got her to ecstatic shortly after she came on board. (same day or the second day)
get rid of the bull and bird dudes! they make her miserable.
do NOT upgrade her place, just build it. Get Gustav to full happy so he will play the fiddle, give her some food so she will visit the gallery. Basically full happy.
Don't have Gustav on board? You're basically screwed.

I reloaded an older save where I still had Atul to get her ecstatic. Should be easy if you have Atul and Gustav and give her a green salad.

I might've been able to elate her simply by the luck of timing, without Atul or Gustav. All at once:
  • She had recently visited Gustav's gallery,
  • She was "proud of my work ethic", i.e. that I had freshly completed her Dharma tasks, and
  • I fed her her favorite meal.

This of course in addition to not hugging her and not improving her home. That said, she wasn't ecstatic for too long, but long enough for me to get the achievement this way.

You are awesome! I moved her home next to Gustav's , praying she would visit and she did! Thanks for your info.

I did this as well and the dot TOUCHED the ecstatic box...so that counts?

If her mood icon is the big grin, the mood raised notification icon that briefly appears used the yellower big smile mood rather than the green smile, or the yellow ecstatic box is glowing then, yeah, she's currently ecstatic. The dot is a hint, but not fully informative.

It's also possible (or was when I got the achievement a couple of updates ago) to double up on food moods - the mood boost from eating something she likes lasts longer than the time it takes to start feeling a little hungry after a snack, so feeding her something like cherries and then following up with a green salad a few in-game hours later can give her both the "food she likes" and "favourite meal" boosts at once.
