I didn't want to kill any animals or prepare any meat, egg, or dairy dishes. I would have preferred to feed everyone plants, way to compartmentalize animal commodification and death. I actually thought the use of anthropomorphic animal characters meant the game would be a celebration of animals. The most gentle and vulnerable animals are somehow considered okay to exploit and consume, pretty disappointing.
And yes, we feed meat (unless they dislike it) to any of the spirits. Nothing wrong with that when animals eat each others in real life anyway. No animals were harmed on the boat.
