Buck's Treasure Map quests
So I figured out the first one: left/west of Loneberg, in the snowy region
Yet I've gotten kinda stuck on the second. Buck gave me a clue that it's perhaps near Misty Woods, yet something somehow looks off to me. Has anyone found it yet?

Also, how many of these are there?

the second is near the hidden shrine in east if you sail towards it from the island that is in the fog area near the border with the central area

That's kind of what I've been thinking as well (per Buck's hint). The map clue's almost a little cryptic...

Edit: found it. The island resemblance was a little tricky for me, but I eventually found approximate coordinates: (196,168)

Still dunno if it's just those two though or if there's more...

Yeah, the Portolan charts could have done with a bit more playtesting - comparing the image on the projector screen with the navigation map in the ship's cabin is okay, though it would be nice to have some way to see both images at the same time rather than needing to either remember or manually copy the chart in order to be able to compare it to the map. The real pain is finding the precise location of the treasure - even if the chart does give the precise location accurately (which I'm a little dubious about - the relative sizes and distances of islands don't look quite right to me), actually finding it in game is a game of blindfolded darts where you only get told whether or not you've hit the bullseye, not how badly nor in which direction you've missed.

With the fun of the quest being in finding the treasure within a map square, it would be helpful to have some in-game terminal guidance - for example, having your current position added to the projector when you're actually on the chart. Anything rather than trying to visit every point in a, say, 5x5 square...

What I ended up doing was finding what I believed to be the approximate location for myself, then looking up exact co-ordinates with Google.

By the way, you'll know when you've done all of them because Buck will tell you you've found all the treasures.

Apparently there are 6 map quests, per this guide:

Next time I play through this game I plan on finding them all and tracking what you get.
