Also, you get differently shaped Puyo's sometimes, depending on your character.
There are more differences but these are the biggest.
Puyo Puyo Fever on the other hand is a little more complex: You start with a Fever gauge on the right of your board. If an opponent attacks you, you can counter attack. When you counter attack, you stall the garbage tray on top, and gain one fever point in the gauge. Your opponent gains 1 second of time when you counter. When you reach 7 points in the Fever gauge, you go into Fever mode, which gives you a preset chain.
All characters have a dropset in Fever (in the character select, you will see a preview of this.) and Fever has two lose markers (in columns 3 and 4).
