Doesn't recognize controller?
Hey. I apologize if you've already resolved this issue; I looked through the postings but couldn't seem to spot anybody else with the same problem.

So I use a PS4 controller to play games on Steam -- I've never had the patience to figure out how to connect it to my laptop wirelessly, so I just plug it right into my PC via USB. I've never had a problem doing this; recently, I finished Persona 4 and Robotics;Notes this way with no problems at all.

... Until I tried playing Chaos;Head. I plug in the controller and Steam recognizes it; it even lights up purple the way I've configured it to in my personal settings. I can operate fine using the controller within the Steam application itself, but as soon as I try it with the game window prioritized I get nothing. It actually shuts off after a few minutes, as though it were just sitting idle.

I've tried checking every setting I can imagine, even though it works fine everywhere else. I don't see any controller settings within the actual game itself; I'm also running the recommended English localization patch which has its own controller-ebabling/disabling trigger in the launch screen, but I have it enabled there. I looked through the tech help posts on the site where the patch originated (it's from Committee of Zero -- I also used their Robotics;Notes patch and there were no problems there. I used my controller with this same setup flawlessly), too, and it doesn't seem like a single other person is having this problem.

Does anybody have some insight into this incredibly irritating situation? Is there something simple here that I'm simply failing to see? Please help! I know it's a small thing on the life problems scale, but I really don't feel comfortable trying to play through it without a controller in hand.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide! :p4g_frown:
