GLITCH/BUG in FLYING DUTCHMAN'S graveyard

I managed to get all 4 cannons, and the chest for the final button is glitched.
After getting all 4 cannons, the chest with the final button is closed, and the lock of the chest is off, but I can NOT press the switch since the chest is closed

So, I don't know how, but i switched to Spongebob, the CHEST was STILL CLOSED, but managed to bowl-ah-rama the switch somehow

Did you destroy as Sandy all of that electric generators and the robots?
I remember that we need to beat them all before the final button appears, also there must be a robot duplicator machine somewhere, which also needs to be destroyed.

Yeah, I had already destroyed all the electric generator and robots, as well as the 4 cannons, and the chest lock was off, but the chest was still shut and closed off from me pressing the last button. SOMEHOW, by using Spongebob's Bowl-ol-rama ability on the CLOSED chest somehow activated that last switch
