It's an amazing game, but sadly this was developed and made during an age of gaming where "robots were AI controlled enemies" there were a bunch of games that had enemies as robots to destroy, but that's not a bad thing at all, I just feel like most games during 2000 - 2010 just liked using robots as the game's enemies a lot. But the enemies in this game are totally unique. but it's sad to see and hear that a few robot variants were not seen often in the old gen console version, and the most basic enemies first seen were the most common. But hopefully they make it so the enemy variants that were not seen a lot in the original, are seen more often

It´s a great game. I was 20 (means far away from being a kid) when the original come out and i had a lot of fun playing it.

When I was a kid, i lived in a tiny town of about 200 people. I was the only one with a ps2. This was the first game I bought. The game was SO FUN. I still go to my grandparents house ever so often. This game is going to be awesome trust me

But this game is very good. It didn't go too over the top with anything, but they managed to remain loyal to the show. There are a bunch of different references in this game to the show at the time, and of course four out of the five attacks that Spongebob have are bubble related. And his basic attack is jellyfishing related.

The platforming and physics in the game is very good for a 3D platformer, because it was what people weren't expecting from this game. The movement had such fluidity and it felt really smooth just to jump from platform to platform, or pretty much just do anything in the game.

There's even a freakin jump rope section in Kelp Forest. Totally unrelated, but this proves that Mario Odyssey stole the jump rope idea in New Donk City from BfBB.

That “jump rope” thing in Kelp Forest is actually an unused enemy that was accidentally left in. Apparently they were going to have those plants scattered around the forest and they would attack the player whenever they got too close. However when the idea was scrapped they forgot to remove the plant that had already been placed in the level.

it's a slightly slower paced mario 64 with less movement abilities but i assure you it's definitley worth it. If you enjoyed platforming games of the time like Kao the Kangaroo, Ty the Tiger, Ape Escape, etc etc this one fits in perfect
