It's the same with Mermaid Man. They had to get two different voice actors for both krabs and mermaid man due to contracting issues that happened when the original game was in development back in 2003. In the case of Clancy Brown, who is Mr. Krabs' original voice actor, he didn't do it because Nickelodeon didn't want to pay the amount that he had originally requested for voicing Mr. Krabs in the game, so he bailed out of it. it may be interesting that they dit redo not englisch voices so like me they actualy updated the german voices

Thats because the original only had English voice acting. There's no other language option, so they had to do completely new voice lines for other languages besides English.

thats not true the original had alsol german voices even if it was only on the playstation version it still existed and they updated the voices

I didnt know they had more languages on the PS2 version. I played the GC port and it only had english voice acting
