Imma keep it real with you, the chances of this happening are honestly slim to none. Reason being, due to sales and popularity being relatively lackluster with the BfBB Remake, they probably will not be remastering or remaking anymore spongebob games. Movie can't get a remaster period because of the engine it ran on, Renderware, which is heavily outdated and it simply just wouldn't work on todays equipment and consoles. God knows what engine CFtKK used considering it was on a boatload of different platforms, and it was developed by Blitz Games instead of Heavy Iron. Also, the game is technically under licensing by Nintendo so they would be the ones that would make a call on whether this game gets remastered or remade. But, Nintendo was reluctant to even go back to their most popular 3D Mario series in history, the galaxy series. So chances of them going back to 2006's CFtKK? None. Literally none.

Not saying they can't do it, they probably just wont do it. BfBB Rehydrated didn't live up to the hype and left quite a few people disappointed with failing to bring back that nostalgic feeling that many people wanted to feel while playing this game. They also made a lot of unnecessary changes to boss battles and levels that just didn't make the game feel right. Like, Robo-Patrick is easy as hell now, compared to the OG version where he had quite a bit of difficulty behind him. They can do the Movie Game, but they have to make sure they earn their money back. Games and game development is not cheap in the slightest, everyone needs to get paid and so does the company, and so does the government. Taxes will always be a company's worst nightmare.

And also CFtKK will never, EVER get a remaster/remake because THQ Nordic needs permission from Nintendo to do it, that's what I stated in my previous post. Nintendo OWNS that title alongside Nickelodeon, so if we want a remaster for CFtKK, we're gonna have to ask the daddy Nintendo. And it's a 99.99999% chance they will say no.
.....i think u mean critics gave bfbb a bad score.. sure its a new color palette but i refuse to believe it had poor reception... plus if ppl want the old game they can emulate it as far as wat thq does next they seem to only care about rpgs or new stuff

They only care about RPGs because that's what makes them money. Look, as much as I want to believe that game company are "thinking about the fans" and "Really want to make a great game", I can't do that. Their main goal is making money. That's what a company does. And they will stick with a genre or game that makes them money. 3D Platformers are dying because it doesn't make as much money as other genres. That era, as much as I hate to say it, is coming to an end. A movie remake, and ESPECIALLY a CftKK Remake, will not make them any money. At least nowhere near how much it would cost to actually make those two games. Game development just isn't the same anymore. It's getting tougher and tougher with newer engines coming out. And like I said in another post, they cant remaster these games. Either they end up like Renderware, too outdated to even use anymore so it's thrown in the trashbin, or an engine used for CFtKK, and again, god knows what engine they used for that so it's basically a ghost caught in the wind.

Idk man... i can already tell ..ur personality since u wouldnt add me on here:... plus ur general consensus seems to not understand that certain devs ...whether its old or outdated still make the call to.. develop platformers.. with unreal or whatever engine they choose... ie example ratchet and clank sold well enough to make multiple games...

But if thq made another sb game theyd prolly be in development for a few months

My personality can’t be determined on here. I’m here to state my opinion on a discussion page and have a general idea of how business works. So let me say this. Ratchet and Clank sells well because it’s a popular title that has been around for years. It has spawned multiple sequels and they are able to do that because of a loyal fanbase, and Naughty Dog being a much bigger and more popular company than THQ and especially Purple Lamp, who I’ve honestly never heard of until I found out they were doing Rehydrated. Ratchet and Clank was able to spawn multiple sequels because it was able to pull in the revenue that the company needed to consistently push these games out. If they had a sequel that just didn’t sell well, they wouldn’t make another title on it. It wouldn’t make sense to take a chance like that. THQ is in a much deeper hole because they don’t have the popularity that Ratchet and Clank has, BfBB is only one game and not a full series of many games, and THQ is definitely not as big of a company that Naughty Dog is. In fact, Ratchet and Clank and BfBb Are almost incomparable as they both offer two completely different styles of gameplay, and one features an original character and the other is a TV show character. The only real similarity between them is their genre, which is 3D Platformer. Look, I get it, we wanna hope for more BfBB games. Its not like I don’t. If i could get a BfBB sequel or a Movie remake, i’d be spinning around my room in excitement. But im an optimist as well as a realist. If I were in the CEO of THQ’s shoes right now, I wouldn’t want to push out a remake for a game that would probably not even sell as well as my previous remake, which didn’t even reach peak sales and received quite a bit of controversy and critiscism from my audience. I’d want to do what keeps my company affloat and successful. And right now, that’s their RPGs. This is the last time I’ll post on this topic as I have laid down every fact I could get my hands on and my opinion has also been stated. Also, please do not try to determine my personality just because i didn’t add you. I only add people i either know personally or have played games with in the past and plan on playing with again. Saying you know my personality just because I didn’t add you is plain insulting.
🤔imsomniac owns ratchet.... not ND

Ps i do.:. YOU WENT..as far as blocking... when i added you NO ONE DOES THAT

Well, that was... Interesting. Yet i still believe they could do another remake somehow and why does this dude say this game didnt sell well ? if it didnt sell well why its Overwhelming Positive on steam ? not because they used an old engine doesn't mean they could remake it with different one like isn't Half-life on Gold Source ? and Black Mesa (Which is a Remake of HL1) uses Source ? 2 different engines yet both the remake worked, hek people even doing some remakes for Half Life using Unreal Engine so whats the big deal with all that crap you guys said being realist or whatever doesn't mean they could do that to please their fan base or for Business.

The game has sold over 2 million copies as of May 2021, it's fair to say this was a successful release
