I believe (hope) we'll see this as a mod sooner or later. I'm not a programmer but from what it looks like the game has no issue with a second player roaming through the levels and in addition there's already code for splitscreen used for a debug camera. So I'm thinking all a modder has to do is make a mod that spawns a second player next to player one, enables splitscreen and maps Player 2's camera to the second screen.
But again, I'm no programmer so I might be oversimplifying things here.
Yeah I hope that a mod dev makes this mod a finished product for free that would be amazing and it would add a ton of replay ability to the game why purple lamp studio never added this type of split screen to the game is beyond me. Instead we got a simplified horde mode that no one plays.
See I was under the impression that the game had co-op since they said it had a multiplayer mode. Little did I know that was going to be a wave horde mode that gets old very quickly. I would much prefer a co-op campaign option.
Lol, I didn't even see this post.
It is in English. The game is in German but the video isn't.
