It explains why we didnt got the squidbot boss in singleplayer. Multiplayer just seems like they pulled all the cut content into an arena multiplayer minigame
The basics is that being licensed anything that's done, including release dates, updates, bug fixes, etc. would have to go through the licenseholder (in this case Nickelodeon) before it went live. The only ones keeping this game in this state is Nick, who probably saw this as a cash grab opportunity. The way I see it, it's entirely Nickelodeon's fault.
The developers clearly only did the bare minimum here and screwed more things up then they fixed from the original game.
