Revenge of the Flying Dutchman Remaster

As a kid, I absolutely loved battle for Bikini Bottom! As an adult my view of the game still hasn't changed. That said I loved how THQ Nordic and Purple 'rehydrated ' this game and brought back a fresh remaster of my childhood. However the one Spongebob game I loved more than Battle for Bikini Bottom was Revenge of the Flying Dutchman. Back then it was my first Gamecube game and was a way bigger impact on my childhood. I don't know about anyone else here but would anyone else love to see that game remade aswell? Hell Id also love to see the movie game remade as they were all great platformers of the era!

back in the day i enjoyed it but looking back and how everyone percieved it then..... it was def the lesser of the spongebob games. and kinda janky.

now if they completely remade it, something different from how they handled bfbb then maybe.

I agree, to an extent though. I just felt that ROTFD had a strange unique charm to it as a strange hybrid of collectathon and in its own way a predecessor sandbox. Sure the graphics were ass and the controls were lacking at the time, but BFBB fleshed that out in 03’ and made most spongebob games the way they are today. For me I guess it’s all about the nostalgia, I sometimes still hook up my old GameCube just to relive the experience of those games as a kid.

It's a pretty underrated black sheep of the spongebob games. Battle for bikini bottom and the movie game just overshadow it.

Revenge of the Flying Dutchman was indeed my first Spongebob game too. Even if the quality isn't up to par with Battle For Bikini Bottom per say, it's still an insanely nostalgic game to me, probably the most out of all of the games. Revenge, Battle, and the Movie game were the three only Spongebob games I grew up playing, and I wouldn't mind a remaster of both Revenge and the movie game. The movie one was popular but also might be the most complicated because of potential film studio licensing and rights, but I do want it known to the developers that I would immediately buy both of them lol.
