can't hit the master shut down button in the mermalair

i have hit all 4 buttons in the lair and returned to the computer and got the golden spatula. the computer unlocks the gate covering up the master shutdown button but i am unable to hit it with a bubble ball. wondering if anyone else had this problem or how to fix it.

I'm having this exact same problem. No matter what you try, it doesn't seem to work. Talking to the computer does nothing because it only says "All you have to do now is press the Master Shutdown Button". The Gate covering it is already unlocked, I think it's just a major bug. I haven't found a fix for it anywhere

They are aware of some of these issues as people have been fervently submitting bug requests to them. I'm sure it'll all be available in an upcoming patch and we can enjoy our cult classic. Screw the IGN gamespot reviews.

yes i did. I made a new save and it worked but kept my old one because i already had alot of stuff

yea i just didn't see anything else about it when i looked it up and wanted to bring it up but other then that one small issue games great.
