Proper voice actors this time around?

Not bootleg Mrs. Puff, Mermaid Man, Mr Krabs, etc?

EDIT: Forgot that Mermaid Man's VA died in 2012. Not much can be done except a soundalike

Wait was Mrs. Puff done by someone else? If so I couldn't really tell, the other voices were more jarring though.

It definitely seems like most of the old voice-acting is present, judging by what footage we've seen... But I too would love to see new voice-overs for Mr.Krabs, Mermaid Man, etc.

It would be really pathetic if they couldn't get the proper VA's this time around. Reusing the soundtrack is fine. Reusing the proper VA's lines is fine. Can they maybe at least get someone who sounds more like Mermaid Man?

i actully liked the bootleg VA's i thought it was kind of a funny thing that happened.

No voice lines from the original game are being changed. They are being brought straight from the original to the remake. Even if they wanted to do new voice lines, they wouldn't be able to do so for characters such as Barnacle Boy, since his characters original voice actor for example is dead.

Im just talking about the characters that they DIDNT get the proper VA's for. Such as Mrs Puff or Mr Krabs. Barnacle Boy was fine. Mermaid Man wasnt, but not much can be done about him since his VA died. But they can easily get the others. As far as i recall, it was those 3 mainly.

both Tim Conway (Barnacle Boy) and Mary Jo Catlett (Mrs. Puff) were present in the original Battle for Bikini Bottom as their respective characters and that won't change for Rehydrated.
