it was a hell of a blast bringing the portable literally hand held (by the handle on the side) system to middle and HS and basically taking turns playing it during the end of the school semester.
I liked it, but we wanted the platformer, too, so we got the PS2 version later. And later still, a friend of mine who had the GBA version brought my attention to the fact that existed, so I got that one as well.
I 100%ed the PC and GBA versions but the 3D platformer was a different beast entirely. Despite playing through the game multiple times, I've always been missing about 2 or 3 socks, don't even remember the exact number, that I haven't found to this day. I was also missing a golden spatula for the longest time, but one time while goofing around I randomly shot a missile at a window and that window actually fell down, closed off a waterfall and lowered the water level to reveal a spatula. My mind was blown, and that's honestly the meanest of all the spatulas since there's no indication that window can be interacted with or that there is a spatula hidden underwater.
So now my save file is sitting at 99 spatulas with 2 or 3 socks missing. Who knows, maybe I'll manage to 100% the game in Rehydrated.
BUT LUCKILY I TOOK THE GAME BEFORE THEY DID !!
Use a PS2 emulator, you can just insert the disc in your PC and play it
