Hi, I have installed and verified the game files but everytime I try to play it I get a warning: Fatal Error: Failed to load mono. I'm running Win 10 on a laptop with 4Gb RAM and a CORE i3 processor. How can I fix this?

It's a fatal error that stops the game fro running. I really want to play this little game ;~; please fix it or I'll be forced to refund it and find a way to report it to Steam. It's not right selling a game that doesn't work to people. I don't like playing games full screen. So I check the settings, and there's an option to play in a window. Tick that, drop the volume of the music down, hit apply and the game window vanishes. I've quit and restarted a few times, and all I get is a tiny little window that is essentially 0x0 pixels wide / high. I can't find the settings to reset them to play full screen (better than not being able to play at all). Anyone know where the settings are stored ?...
