7 is decent and gets rid of the bad taste that 6 gave
5 I remember being the one that pushed the PS2 to its limit but wasn't anything special compared to 3 or 4
I hope DW3 and DW4 could be also re-released on steam. The enermy AI in DW3 and DW4 is pretty high even in the easy difficulty and more 'hard-core' oriented (esp DW3).
i would like to play Dynasty Warriors 6 Definitive Edition ^^
Corridor maps sheperding you down to the next event rather than DW3,4,5 with open maps.
9 is barely even a DW game idk what to consider it
9 (even though i 100% completed it) was just terribly bad.
I loved 8, it did everything well, though again i just preferred character stories over faction stories.
7 Was fine too, slightly worse than 8.
6 was better than 9 but tried changing to much of what was cool, replacing that with linearity and lame characters.
As i said, i loved five, it did everything so well - yes some repeated stages but they handled slightly differently depending on who you played. I also played for the story of the characters, less than the overall thing. I guess a downside was that they had to lose historical accuracy - which i get why people would dislike that... but i play romance of the three kingdoms for that - dynasty warriors is not historically accurate. It's an over the top action game.
4 was a masterpiece, i've played the hell out of it though so not much to say from me. STILL prefer 5.
3 same as 4 but clunkier.
I liked 7 and 8, personally, and I enjoy a lot of the newer characters more than some of the older ones but that's just me.
Weird, almost like i said 'rather' and never stated anything other than my very obvious opinion in an attempt to see others' opinions.
