Is anyone else getting random FPS drops in game?
Where things kinda just slow to a crawl for a few moments then goes back to normal at random intervals or is it just me?

It happened to me too during the last 2 stages of the Wu story, played the Wei one without a single slow down. Weird.

That is weird. I got it on the very first level of the Shu story mode on hard mode. I played it again on normal and didn't get any but thats probably because it didn't take as long idk. It's got me paranoid about my PC though.

There are random FPS drops for sure, same as original PC version. The more wierd to me is I have to turn on the option like 'V-SYNC' to lock to 30fps, otherwise I will suffer slow motion for most of stages (even in towns at Conquest mode and Legend mode).

Thanks for the input man, that's good to know. Did you force V-sync through your video card? I didn't see the option in the game menu.

Its not your pc i had frame drops going for some seconds on this map as well. Looks like selected maps suffers from this issue.

Well, that's Koei's game after all, its normal for them. I'm replaying DW3 on my PS2 right now and the battle of ChiBi stage is barely playable because of the enormous slowdowns on this level :)

Maybe it's a case of particular settings being implemented poorly I'll try later to see if I can pin point the culprit also I noticed there is a frame skip option in the settings that may prefent slow down making the game occasionaly less fluid if it does what it says.

So called frameskip just locks the game to 30fps :)

Then they named the option wrong. :steamfacepalm:

I do not play in English language, so I do not know the exact name in English version. The option is something like 'frameskip' (I translated from other versions), when you turn it on, the game will be locked to 30fps(similar as V-SYNC). Also you may need to turn off 'Depth of Field', it is a rather placebo and makes some scenes blurry.

Turn on frameskip, it's the only way to fix it. KOEI have added in the 60fps option without actually doing any tempering or optimisation to make it stable. They are a terrible terrible company.

try disable nvidia shader cache in the driver options, fixed the problem for me
