Japanese and English Character Name Comparison

Nobita, Shizuka, Suneo and Gian aren't the only characters in the game who have different names. Many of the other characters in this game have entirely different names, or slight variations of their names.

Deutsch, french, etc except english have the same names as japanese, so you might want to change the name so people who dont read kana can understand better

I set my Nintendo Switch's language to French, and some of the characters with different English names retain their Japanese names, such as Shizuka and Ranch while a few of the game's other exclusive characters have different names even in French, like "Annie" for Ram(?)/Lamb/Rem.

Should I add character names of more languages to the comparison?

I know you posted on the thread that Monterossa made about the Disney names, so I'm sure you know why people care, don't ask who when you posted on that thread multiple times where many people complained but..

All I can say is that it matters for people that grew up with Doraemon, and have seen the original names all their lives, is part of their childhoods and the relationship they have with the series. Imagine anything that you like and someday out of nowhere in some game or movie they change the names of almost all the main characters, how would you feel about that? if you still say that you don't care then fine, but many people do.

No, I don't keep tabs on who and how many people were annoyed at the name change. But if you knew I posted in that thread, then you'd also know that I said I am Asian and grew up with Doraemon, so I don't have to imagine. I still love Doraemon at 32 years old but I really don't care that they changed the names in this game. It doesn't take away any enjoyment of the game at all. I do, however, refuse to watch the English dub versions of the cartoon, but that's a different story.
